Information You Submit
Text entered into a name, phone, or address search is sent to the third-party provider that supplies those results. Our own servers do not keep a copy of the search terms. If you contact the operators, the message and any details in it are used to respond and to handle the request.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. Those logs are reviewed in aggregate for site health and page use. Basic cookies or related tools may support analytics or advertising measurement where those services are enabled.
How Limited Data Is Used
Technical information supports operations, fault finding, traffic counts, and page improvements. Visitor lists are not sold, and the operators do not build individual profiles from the reference pages.
Outside Portals and Collections
Links lead to Larimer County and Colorado records portals, History Connection, archives, libraries, and third-party search tools. Each outside service controls its own collection, privacy notice, fees, and data practices. A sponsored result is supplied by its third-party provider.
Who Processes Technical Data
Hosting and support providers may process ordinary server logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Disclosure also occurs when valid legal process requires it; it is not made for unrelated purposes.
Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection. Logs are kept only for the operational purposes described here and for as long as those purposes require. There are no site accounts, passwords, or user profiles to maintain.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The operators do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact the operators if a minor has sent information so the message can be reviewed and removed when appropriate.
Your Colorado Privacy Rights
Where the Colorado Privacy Act applies, Colo. Rev. Stat. §§ 6-1-1301 et seq. may provide rights to access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain processing. The Act took effect July 1, 2023 and applies according to its thresholds and controller duties. Because the site keeps little direct information, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and applicable logs.
The Colorado Open Records Act, C.R.S. 24-72-201 et seq., governs public records held by the state, county, and city offices described here. Those public records are outside this site’s control. A correction, confidentiality, or removal request for an Assessor, Recorder, voter, court, vital, or other government record must go to the actual custodian or protection program. Use the Contact page for a question about information held by this site.
Changes to This Policy
Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective version. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
